Knight Barry Title is growing once again in Florida, with 15 offices around the state after our two latest acquisitions.
The first move brings us to the Orlando area as a result of the acquisition of The Closing
Boutique, LLC. The operation has two offices in nearby Lake County. One
location is in Clermont and the other is in Mount Dora.
Joining Knight Barry
Title represents an exciting new chapter for The Closing Boutique owner Sandy
Lawson. She and her staff remain committed to delivering personal service to
their customers. Lawson founded the company in 2011 with the mission of making
the closing experience special for her customers, which she promises will
continue. All staff including Lawson are staying on with Knight Barry Title.
“What makes The Closing Boutique special is still
here. The same smiling faces and great team are here for you, but the tools and
the processes we now have as part of Knight Barry Title are going to help us
improve the experience tremendously,” she said. “We’re really excited. It’s
going to make what we do so much better.”
Craig Haskins, the chief
operating officer of Knight Barry Title, reiterated the company’s approach to
growth and acquisitions: Knight Barry Title wants to partner with title
professionals who are already doing things right for their customers and providing
them with what they need to keep thriving.
“We are always talking
about how important our people are to making Knight Barry Title special, which
includes the team members we bring on as part of any acquisition.” Haskins said.
“I can tell how much customers love Sandy and her staff. Knight Barry is here
to provide the support needed so she can keep doing great things and deliver
her memorable customer experience to even more people in the Orlando area.”
The second acquisition
will give Knight Barry Title its fourth office in South Florida. The deal with
Home Title America in West Palm Beach has been agreed upon but won’t become
official until next month. Home Title America is owned by local real estate
attorney Bill Jacobson, who is also excited about the added resources he and
his team will be able to offer customers as part of Knight Barry Title. Jacobson
pointed specifically to the technology, commercial expertise and the RON
options he will now be able to offer his customers.
“I am excited about
doing the deal and fully committed to help KBT grow in the area,” he said. “It’s
just the right situation at the right time for a move like this.”
Jacobson will continue
to practice real estate law through his practice, which he opened in 1976. He
is also involved with multiple local boards and committees related to real
estate development in and around Palm Beach County.
“Bill is a respected
expert and leader in the community, and we’re excited to have him and the rest
of his team working alongside the other KBT professionals in the area. We have
only scratched the surface of our potential in and around Palm Beach County,”
Haskins said. “The future is bright there and all around the state.”
Knight Barry Title’s
first office in South Florida came after an August 2020 acquisition in nearby
Deerfield Beach. Since then, the company has opened offices organically in Boca
Raton and North Palm Beach to serve more customers.
